Craig Young is a professional avian trainer and has trained hundreds of birds from macaws, cockatoos, amazons, african greys and numerous other parrot species, to more unusal birds such as aracari, hornbills and cranes!
A member of IAATE (International Association of Avian Trainers & Educators), Craig is passionate about educating bird owners to enable them to offer the best life for their avian companions. Consultations are available one-to-one both in person and via video call.
Feathers Together - Rescue | Support | Educate
Feathers Together is a registered charity based in North East England, dedicated to supporting the relationship between people and their pet birds.
Rescue Parrots and other exotic pet birds come to Feathers Together for many reasons. A deceased owner, change of personal circumstances, health issues or financial difficulties. We make no judgement; we are here to support birds and their owners whatever their circumstances.
Stop by the stand to say hello to some of the long-term residents, and help raise funds by buying giftware and taking part in our Tombola.
Custom aviaries, enclosures and cages for parrots, aviary birds and other animals
Rosemead Aviaries is a small, family run business, operating for over 15 years.
Based in Wales and covering the whole of the UK, Rosemead specialise in designing and building custom aviaries, enclosures and cages. The aluminium box section frame panels have many advantages over timber framed panels. They are low maintenance, more hygenic, longer lasting and do not rot. Lightweight but sturdy, they come in a variety of mesh gauges to suit your needs.
Aviaries will be available to buy on the day, but if you would like something specific please phone and we will be happy to design your custom aviary for you. There will also be a good selection of toys to purchase at the show.

Mandy Renton, a Suffolk-based artist who parrots and pet birds
Mandy captures pet birds and parrots in oil paint, focusing on the personality and charm of each bird and the unique characteristics that bird owners will recognise.
A self-taught artist, Mandy is well known for her paintings of budgies but is also on a mission to paint as many of the world’s most popular pet birds and parrots as possible! A large range of cards, prints, homewares and original paintings will be available to buy at The Tropical Bird Show.
Comprehensive avian veterinary service and veterinary hospital
Based at their purpose built Whorral Bank Veterinary Hospital in Morpeth, but with 8 additional branches throughout Northumberland and North Tyneside.
Robson and Prescott offer a comprehensive veterinary service for the whole gamut of avifauna. The hospital is fully equipped with the required diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical and hospitalization facilities.
The exotic veterinary team is headed by Drs Sam Prescott and Sztanko Gality – both of whom are experienced in the husbandry and veterinary care of species varying from psittacine and raptors, to ratites and waterfowl and are ably supported by a highly qualified nursing team lead by head nurse Laura Petts. The practice offers husbandry and behavioural advice, biosecurity guidance, health screening, as well as disease investigation and treatment.

Ecotours watching parrots in the wild in their natural habitats in south and central America
During our quest for these magnificent creatures you will encounter numerous other Birds and all manner of Wildlife.
Whilst we travel around we stay in some basic but very adequate and some more luxurious accommodations sampling the local culinary delights, we will be enjoying the diverse scenery through jungles and rainforests as well as mountains, cerrado, wetlands and rivers.
Budgie Rescue Wirral are a very small, home-based and self-funded rescue, operating in the Mersyside area.
We're in the process of registering as a charity, and hope to continue networking with other parrot and animal rescue organisations across the UK. We believe that we're stronger together!
Our aim is to advocate for budgies, promote budgie welfare, and support people too. We're always learning, and believe in a 'know better, do better' culture. These little budgies are beautiful, clever, but sadly often underestimated and undervalued; they deserve the very best and more education is needed. We strive to be compassionate and curious in all we do.
We rescue locally found (stray) budgies and try to reunite them with their guardians. We also take in surrendered budgies from across the North West. We have recently started an adoption process to rehome some of our rescued budgies to committed pet guardians and larger aviaries. We don't breed - believing that there are already enough budgies in this world who need loving homes.
What began as a small sideline, has become a steep learning curve; a growing community of committed bird lovers and fabulous supporters who we couldn't function without!
Charlie's Place UK Budgie Rescue (CPUK) is a small, registered charity, whose mission is to help create better lives for budgies.
Uniquely, the charity has a special interest in the care of budgies with PBFD and/or French Moult viruses. The charity's namesake was a PBFD warrior, himself, and is the reason that CPUK now exists.
Based in the Midlands, CPUK offers a safe, enriched sanctuary, as well as education, re-homing and adoption services, helping to provide captive budgies the very best lives possible.

The National Cockatiel Association UK (NCA)
The National Cockatiel Association was created to promote the cockatiel, be it breeding or pet keeping, and Exhibition of Cockatiels.
Interested in keeping, showing or breeding cockatiels? Have a chat to some of the committee who will be available at the show to answer any questions and tell you about this fantastic hobby.
The NCA will be holding a cockatiel show as part of the event. For more information, including show classes, rules and how to enter please contact the NCA.
’The Parrot Society UK (PSUK) is a registered charity established in 1966 initially to unite like-minded keepers of parrots and parakeets.
It has evolved into an organisation that publishes a monthly magazine and a quarterly on-line ‘Bird Scene’, as well as holding events several times a year to enable sale and exchange of parrots and exhibition of many bird species.
Education into good management, housing, nutrition and breeding of all psittacine species is of paramount importance, and we have a substantial Conservation Fund to successfully assist endangered parrot projects worldwide.’
Rosemary Low - Author and Lifelong Parrot Enthusiast
Rosemary Low is the English author of more than 30 books on birds, published between 1969 and 2022.
She has published more books on parrots than any other author, alive or dead! She is the former Curator of Birds at Loro Parque, Tenerife, and Palmitos Park, Gran Canaria.
Unfortunately, Rosemary is unable to join us in person at the show, but she has generously donated a number of her fantastic books to be sold in aid of Feathers Together Parrot Rescue.
